The Battle for Divinity Begins: Wicked Ink Signs “The Mountain of Heaven” A Sweeping Epic Fantasy Series by Benjamin Barrett & Jarod Tomiyama

Wicked Ink Publishing is thrilled to announce the signing of Benjamin Barrett and Jarod Tomiyama, two visionary co-authors bringing their storytelling expertise to the world of epic fantasy. Their debut novel, The Mountain of Heaven, is the first book in an ambitious nine-book saga—a sweeping tale of gods, mortals, and the battle for the soul of a world.

Barrett’s creative roots run deep in the world of theatre, where his love of storytelling has been shaped both on and off the stage. With a degree in History and a minor in Drama, he has spent years refining his ability to craft narratives that blend historical depth with dramatic tension. Originally focused on scriptwriting, his partnership with Tomiyama has led him into the vast and immersive realm of fantasy fiction.

Tomiyama, a cum laude English graduate, has long sought to tell grand, fantastical stories. A writer of Japanese-Canadian descent with Asperger’s Syndrome, he has honed his skills across various mediums, from world-building and short fiction to tabletop adventures. His dedication to the craft and passion for intricate storytelling make him an exciting new voice in epic fantasy.

Set in a world where divine power is both a gift and a curse, The Mountain of Heaven follows Fel Kelix and Osana—two lovers whose dreams of a simple life are shattered when an ancient prophecy marks them as vessels for the forces of light and darkness. Pursued by relentless demons and hunted by those who seek to control their fate, they must journey across a scorched wasteland to the Mountain of Heaven, where an Archangel awaits to unlock their true power. But with enemies lurking in every shadow and the weight of divinity threatening to consume them, they must decide: will they rise as gods to save humanity, or fall as pawns in a war as old as time itself?

Blending high-stakes adventure, intricate mythology, and a deeply human struggle for survival, The Mountain of Heaven promises to be a breathtaking start to a legendary fantasy series. With Barrett’s theatrical instincts and Tomiyama’s narrative mastery, this novel delivers an immersive experience filled with tension, emotion, and jaw-dropping twists.

At Wicked Ink Publishing, we are beyond excited to bring this extraordinary fantasy saga to readers. The Mountain of Heaven is only the beginning of a journey that will span nine epic volumes, and we can’t wait for you to embark on this adventure with us.

Stay tuned for more updates on the release of The Mountain of Heaven, a fantasy epic that will leave you craving the next chapter.

Their journey begins as mortals. It will end in legend.

In a realm where secrets are worth their weight in gold, Fel Kelix and Osana dream of a future together—one built on hard work, love, and defiance against the city-state that sees them as less than human. But when hell itself strikes, their quiet ambitions shatter. The two find themselves marked by an ancient destiny, chosen to bear the power of light and darkness in a world teetering on the edge of war.

Pursued by relentless demons bent on corruption, hunted by forces that seek to control their fate, the pair must cross a scorched and unforgiving wasteland to reach the Mountain of Heaven. There, an Archangel waits—one who holds the key to their awakening and the rebirth of a broken pantheon.
