Raúl Quintana Selleras was born in Camagüey, Cuba, and has spent his life bridging the gap between the arts and sciences. A true polymath, Raúl holds four degrees, including a doctorate in Engineering Management from The George Washington University. His professional achievements span a diverse range of fields, but his passion for literature and writing has always taken center stage.

Raúl’s extensive body of work reflects his ability to dive into complex themes and universal questions. His non-fiction book, Fragmented Philosophy: Mediocrity and Geniality, offers a deep exploration of the duality between genius and the ordinary, while his academic writings dissect philosophical and literary subjects from unique angles. Some of his most notable articles include Jesus, Palinurus, and Marxist and Huxleyan Perspectives and Theodicy: Definitions and Examples.

Raúl’s literary achievements have earned him numerous awards and accolades. He is the recipient of the Limaclara International Essay Prize and the XXIX Becerro de Bengoa Essay Prize, among other honors. His poetry and essays have been recognized internationally, earning honorable mentions in the 60th International Poetry and Narrative Contest, and his plays—Moirai, Charites, and Furies—have been performed in Colombia, showcasing his versatility as a playwright.

His writings often draw from classical mythology, exploring themes of love, death, and human nature. He has also penned thought-provoking poems such as They and I and Woman, which have been featured in international publications.

Raúl currently lives in Little Elm, Texas, with his wife Kristina and their daughter Alexia, where he continues to blend his scientific rigor with creative storytelling, captivating readers across genres and borders.
